OK.....so I don't condone people having babies and not being married. Or people having babies then get married after the fact. That's not right.
Didn't the song go
First come love
Then come marriage
Then come the baby in the baby carriage
So let me get to the point before I get upset. I don't understand why people congratulate people who are having babies out of wedlock. Like really, you congratulate people on being irresponsible and reckless. You are encouraging backward @$$ behavior. I'm gonna start congratulate grown people who sit at home all day and do nothing when they are perfectly capable of working a full time job. I just don't get it. Maybe I'm just logical.
Nevertheless, to all you people having babies and are not married, STOP THAT ****! You are ******* the game up and making women ineligible for marriage. LMAO.

I forgot about this.........LOL

So the Miami Heat and myself have a special connection. My first Starter Jacket was that of the Miami Heat. LOL. Yes, I had a Miami Starter when they were loosing like hell and I wore it with pride. This was back when people were robbing people for Starter's. I figured since Miami was the worst team in the NBA, no one would take my jacket. Sad but true.
Anyway shout out to the Heat!! I hope they win the championship this year.
Limit the people from your past
I went to elementary, middle and one year of high school in a major metropolitan area. And I finished high school in a small town. Every now and then I run into people I went to school with or they contact me on Facebook out the blue. Most times its good to hear from people, other times I wonder if they are just being nosy, so they can have something to talk about.
I was contacted today by this guy asking me if I was going to some kind of party to some chick I don't even know. Me and they guy were cool to a certain extent, but he like a majority of people I went to school with have changed for the worst, so I literally stopped entertaining him. I read the IM and I denied going to whatever was going on.
SIDEBAR: The event was a book club/networking event. Translation: somebody can't meet people of the opposite sex, and come up with dumb ideas.
Sorry but I'll pass.
Adulthood is interesting, because you get to see people's true colors and see who people really are. If you are smart, you can pick through their motives and determine if they are really genuine in their actions.
That's why you limit information with people from you past. If they ask how you are doing, you reply "I'm fine." No more, no less, no stress.

You aren't in business for the sake of business
It's not good when wanna be business people try to talk business to you. They are so convinced that they are profitable in their efforts. What's funny is that I could make more money than them in a day selling bootleg DVDs to panhandlers then they could make in a month. Why? Because I don't chase dumb unrealistic dreams. Just accept what cards are dealt to you and stop effin with the program.
So I'm minding my business on Facebook and this ratchet hit me up asking me if I am going to a party on Tuesday. I think to myself.....(Why in the hell would I go to a party on Tuesday? That's dumb.....I have to work on Wednesday and I have a real job that pays very well. Why would I jeopardize me coming to work on time for a dumb party? People over 30 shouldn't be going to a club on a Tuesday night. Why are you even promoting a party? That's not a smart career move. You can't make a living off of one party for week. There isn't even a special guest which would make me come out. Look at the flyer, it's not original. Why are you asking people personally to come to a party? Real promoters don't care about one person. They want bulk) back to the chat.....
Rather than continuing the conversation with the ratchet I logged out because I don't have time to argue with a theory of the best parties happen in DC during the week. NOT FOR THE PEOPLE WITH REAL JOBS OR FAMILIES. I can guarantee you that most people are headed home after work on weekdays. DC is not a party town, especially for black people. No one here knows how to capitalize because of the odd income spread amongst the population of blacks here. You can't get the same group of people in the same room at the same time because most people have agendas.
All in all....think about the business ventures you get yourself into and don't bother me with them unless you gonna give me a check to show up. Loser.

Am I fed up with DC already or fed up with 1-D people?
You hear it all the time, the Federal Government is full of overpaid underachieving workers. I wouldn't necessarily agree with that statement, but in many cases you do run into people who wouldn't have a career, if their weren't shielded by the protection of the being a civil servant. In my position now which is a Program Analyst, I perform administrative functions, some project management, some program management, and a lot of ad-hoc items. My career background is in claims processing, nothing more, nothing less. Grant it I can leave the Federal Government and find a less paying job somewhere else, however not all people I work with can.
Some of my co-workers always ask me why am I working on a Ph.D? Why do I teach part time at a college? Why do I teach online classes? The answer is easy.....because I am not one dimensional. I have always been outside the norm. Even as a child, I always had my hand in something else. So naturally as an adult, I want to branch out and see what I'm really good at. Who knows?? I may not want to work for the Federal Government for the rest of my life.
Today I almost knocked one of my co-workers the **** out because of a smart comment he made. I usually let the comments slide because for the most part they are losers without the jobs they have. If you take away their job, they have nothing. No accolades, no great achievements, or really good life accomplishments. When I look at my resume, I think that I have a accomplished a lot to be in my early 30's. However, I know there is still more to come, because I am destined to be great. No BS.
I have been through a lot in my life. Most things that I have experienced would rattle a normal person. However my co-workers have no idea. Things I've done, they think I'm lying when I tell them, but I am very serious. I have no reason to lie to a nobody. It's one jerk who likes to play both sides of the fence, and I've been watching him, he likes to run back and forth and hype things up, but he's no threat. However, he talks to other people and tries to empower them, so they start running out the side of their neck as well.
Little do they know, I will break their face. No if, ands, or butts about it. I know violence is not the answer, but sometimes you have to check someone when they are out of line to let them know, hey this world is real, this is not your fantasy land.
I didn't come to DC to make friends with anyone nor will I kiss anyone's ass to please them.
With that being said, stay tuned tuned for more updates on these 1-D people.
